Blogging permits students to all be on a level playing field and allows for an environment which may not be as intimidating in comparison to the traditional classroom setting and has the potential for greater student participation. Not only that, but blogging also gives way for a multitude of other types of media/technology to be integrated into lessons/discussions that allows for all learning types to be accommodated for. Blogging also affords the luxury of taking the classroom outside the school. Blog sites can be accessed from anywhere with internet or network capabilities. Participants can limited to only those from within the class or from others from around the globe. This format also allows for other students, teachers and parents to be more aware of and involved in this learning environment. Another bonus to blogs is that assignments and classroom materials easily be managed and organized for both teachers and the students. Overall there appears to be numerous benefits of integrating blogs into the classroom learning environment.
